The Origin

BORN FROM DIRECT EXPERIENCE IN KIGALI

Axiis Atelier was born from direct investment experience on the ground in Kigali. What began as a private development project quickly revealed a consistent gap between architectural vision, cost transparency, and on-site execution. While each element existed independently, alignment between them was often missing, leading to inefficiencies, delays, or compromised outcomes.

Rather than approaching this as a limitation, it became the foundation for a new model. Axiis Atelier was created to bridge these gaps combining development strategy, architectural precision, ideas inspired by exposure to international markets and hands-on execution into a single, cohesive process.

Drawing from extensive exposure to international architecture and high-end hospitality environments, it introduces a more refined, contemporary design language carefully adapted to the realities of building in Rwanda. We design with full awareness of reality: cost, construction, and outcome.

Arriving in Rwanda to invest and construct independently, she identified a critical gap between architectural vision and on-site reality: where budgets erode and timelines drift. Her answer was to own the full process from finding the right people through sourcing materials and vetting suppliers to navigating local regulations and managing operations directly on site. Her focus is on grounding every design decision in real costs and real logistics, optimizing projects for lasting value. Pressure is Matylda’s element. She drives the site’s strategic execution and creative direction with equal parts grit and imagination.

Faisal

Faisal

Faisal brings an international design perspective to every project, paired with fluency across 3D visualization and interior disciplines. He maintains a hands-on presence that extends beyond the drawing board, collaborating with the engineering team during execution to help translate technical drawings into buildable solutions. His command of digital construction modeling raises the visual bar on every project, ensuring a clear bridge between design intent and finished form.

Integrity

At AXIIS Atelier, we believe that structural integrity and public safety are non-negotiable. Every project we undertake is executed in collaboration with RIA-licensed architects and IER-registered engineers.We strictly adhere to Law No. 023/2025, ensuring that all technical designs and site supervisions are performed by certified professionals in good standing with the Rwanda Institute of Architects and the Institute of Engineering Rwanda.
